Abstract Submission for Oral and Poster Presentations

The KSUM 2026 Organizing Committee invites all interested individuals to submit abstracts for Oral and Poster Presentations through which the most updated research results and interesting cases around the world can be shared. Abstract submissions should be made through the online abstract submission system at the KSUM 2026 website.

  • All abstracts must be submitted through the Congress website. (Abstracts submitted by any other means will not be accepted.)
  • Abstracts must be written in English, and the submitter is responsible for checking for any typing errors.
  • Abstracts should not exceed 300 words in length.
  • Tables and figures are not permitted.
  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts that may be submitted.
  • An acknowledgment of submission will be automatically sent by e-mail to both the submitter and the presenting author upon completion of the online submission.
  • Submitters may review or modify their submitted abstracts until 24:00, February 23 (Mon), 2026 (Korea Standard Time), by visiting “My Page” on the Congress website.
  • Notification of acceptance will be sent by e-mail to the presenting authors on March 25 (Wed), 2026.
  • Presenting authors of accepted abstracts are required to complete their registration for KSUM 2026 no later than April 22 (Wed), 2025.

International Grant Award (USD 300)

This award is presented to all overseas presenters whose abstracts have been accepted for onsite presentation at the Scientific Session, Scientific Exhibition (E-Poster), or Informal Scientific Presentation_Ultrasound, the Best. The award is granted only once to the presenting author, regardless of the number of accepted abstracts or co-authors.

Young Investigator Award

Since 2003, the Young Investigator Award has been established to recognize and honor outstanding individuals among the presenters at the annual congress of the Korean Society of Ultrasound in Medicine (KSUM).This prestigious award is generously sponsored by Prof. Byung Ihn Choi, former Chairman of the Board, who contributed the prize money from the 2002 Bunshi Medical Award, which later led to the establishment and management of the Young Physicians Fund.

Awardees are selected based on the scientific excellence of their abstract submissions and must be under 40 years of age at the time of presentation during the Scientific Sessions. Preference is given to submissions focusing on basic research.Awardees will receive KRW 1,000,000 for the Grand Prix, KRW 500,000 for the Gold Award, and KRW 200,000 for the Honorable Mention.

Applicants wishing to compete for this award must indicate their intent to apply for the Young Investigator Award when submitting their abstracts by marking the corresponding section on the online submission form.
